OneSpareTeeTime, a free Internet-based service, from Charity Helpers LLC, helps clubs handle requests from charitable organizations efficiently while enhancing promotion of their events, as well as improving clubs’ membership and marketing efforts.
The Golf Club of Houston, Humble, Texas, is the latest course to sign up for a free platform called OneSpareTeeTime, designed to help clubs handle requests from charities efficiently while enhancing promotion of their events, as well as improving clubs’ membership and marketing efforts.
The creator of the free Internet-based solution, Atlanta-based Charity Helpers LLC, says club managers who spend time processing requests for rounds from charitable organizations could use the platform to save up to 10 hours a week while promoting their club to potential members. The resource generates a promotional flyer that includes a club logo and photo description of the course for event managers to post at their events. Course managers and marketing executives automatically receive contact information for the non-profit event organizers and the winning bidders.
Participating clubs also receive a free listing on BestOutings.com, which has a database of over 13,000 golf courses in the U.S. and enables outing planners to submit a Request for Proposal to more than 8,300 courses, creating a new sales channel for private, public and resort facilities. Outing planners submit outing requests that are automatically sent to all courses within the requested geographic region.
Charity Helpers LLC’s founder, Mike Last, says he has met many club and golf course managers who say they are overwhelmed with constant requests from non-profit organizations, both in person and by e-mail and phone call. “This creates a lot of extra work for the average manager/marketing executive,” he says. “Automating the entire process leaves clubs in full control, saves them a lot of time, promotes their course and can potentially increase their revenue—all while helping some great causes, including many PGA Foundations.
“It’s a great win-win opportunity that hundreds of courses are already embracing,” adds Last. “We want to reach 1000 courses as quickly as we can, to maximize the benefit to the non-profits. A free listing on BestOutings.com is an added bonus for participating courses”.
