The Homestead and Zermatt resorts in Midway, Utah, have a new manager: Park City-based Gemstone Hotels and Resorts, reports The Salt Lake Tribune.

Gemstone is a full-service management company specializing in upscale hotels and resorts. It already manages the Sky Lodge in Park City and 13 other properties in California, New Mexico, Texas, Florida, Colorado, West Virginia and New York.

New management means a new direction for the resorts, said Steve Eddington, managing partner of Homestead and Zermatt.

The resorts will focus more on activities involving the arts, education, health, well-being and recreation. They also have retained a company called Soul Centers to provide “inspirational, transformational and profound educational experiences.”
