The report, which is updated daily at 5 p.m., provides answers for if and how courses can be operated as states and local authorities combat the coronavirus outbreak—including whether play and/or routine maintenance is allowed, and other local considerations.
The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) has started a service for courses on a state-by-state basis, asking / answering four questions:
– Governor Directive – Is golf open for play?
– Governor Directive – Is golf course maintenance allowed?
– Are there local considerations?
– Who do I reach out to for more information?
The GCSAA provided this LINK for daily updates.
The State-By-State Update is intended for informational purposes only and should not be considered a substitute for your state’s official information. While the information is updated regularly, it may be less timely than your official state information. The information provided does not, and is not intended to, constitute legal advice.
Even in areas where play is still permitted, the decision whether or not to stay open is an independent business decision by each course, and GCSAA does not have information on the status of individual courses. If you have questions about the status of an individual course, please reach out to them to see if they are open for play.
