GCBAA Executive Director Foley to Retire

| February 3, 2011

Justin Apel, Assistant Executive Director, will take over Foley’s role.

Paul Foley, Executive Director of the Golf Course Builders Association of America (GCBAA), announced his retirement effective the end of February. He will be replaced by Justin Apel, Assistant Executive Director.

Foley has raised the GCBAA to another level on many fronts since joining the GCBAA in January 2006, according to Dave Munkvold, GCBAA president. He was also instrumental in reestablishing the GCBAA Foundation Sticks for Kids program through a partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association. The program grew from 11 programs to 560 in 2011 with locations in all 50 states and 18 military bases. In addition, the program expanded to China through the sponsorship of Forward Management Group, one of GCBAA’s International Members. There are currently 130 Sticks for Kids programs operating in 32 cities in China.
