For four of the company’s resort/private club properties, including The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, The Lodge & Club at Ponte Vedra, Epping Forest Yacht Club, and The River Club, management functions will be consolidated under one organization, The Gate Hospitality Group (GHG). The company also announced multiple personnel appointments within the new structure.
GATE President John Peyton has announced several changes to the management structure of the company’s four world class resort/private club properties: The Ponte Vedra (Fla.) Inn & Club, The Lodge & Club at Ponte Vedra (Fla.), Epping Forest Yacht Club in Jacksonville, Fla., and The River Club in Jacksonville, Fla.
Management functions for each property will now be consolidated under one organization, The GATE Hospitality Group (GHG). The GHG will combine the functions of human resources/training, information technology, finance, purchasing and marketing to support all four properties, and in turn, provide better value for both members and guests.
Peyton also announced the appointments of several individuals to lead the newly streamlined organization. Hospitality veteran Dale Haney will lead the GHG as President. With more than 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Haney has overseen every aspect of management for the two sister properties: the 249-room AAA Five-Diamond Ponte Vedra Inn & Club and the 66-room AAA Four-Diamond Lodge & Club.
Christian Peterson, CPA, has been named Chief Financial Officer. With experience from a Jacksonville-based accounting firm, and having served as the Vice President and Controller for the Ponte Vedra Beach resorts, Peterson will now serve as the chief asset manager and be involved in financial strategic planning for the entire GATE Hospitality Group.
Additionally, David Marriotti has been appointed the GATE Hospitality Group Resort Director. Bringing more than 20 years of operational experience with both properties, he will oversee the day-to-day operations of both The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club and The Lodge & Club.
William Ackland is the newly appointed Controller of GATE Hospitality Group. In this capacity, he will oversee the day-to-day resort and club accounting operations for all four properties, as well as Ponte Vedra Club Realty, Inc.
“We consider it an honor and privilege to be the stewards of such remarkable establishments,” said Peyton. “More importantly, our top priority is to provide an experience that is nothing short of exceptional each time members and guests step foot on our properties. I am confident that this team and structure, combined with the exemplary caliber of our club and resort staff, will allow us to continue to deliver unparalleled service and showcase the very best in Northeast Florida hospitality.”
