In a video taken by professional golfer Harold Varner III, a man is seen running from security at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, Calif., and leaping into a pond after removing his shoes. The drenched man then continues to run from security before taking a tumble on the grass.
At the 2017 Farmers Insurance Open, held at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, Calif., January 25-28, a man took to the golf course, chased by security. Then he removed his shoes and leapt into a pond as the crowd cheered.
In the video, taken by professional golfer Harold Varner III and posted on Twitter on January 28, the soaked man then ran from security again before taking a tumble on the grass.
“Kudos to Harold Varner III, who missed the cut after being seven strokes over through the first two rounds, for not being too discouraged to miss an opportunity to record this weekend’s Idiot On The Golf Course,” Deadspin wrote.
