The Fredericksburg (Va.) Country Club is planning two focus group meetings next week as part of an effort to gauge community awareness and perceptions of the club as it seeks new members to join, the Fredericksburg-based Free Lance-Star reported.
The club, which was founded in 1925, offers an 18-hole golf course, indoor and outdoor tennis, a fitness center, a swimming pool and a clubhouse with dining facilities, banquet rooms and locker rooms, the Free Lance-Star reported.
The club is working on the focus groups with marketing and communications firm Marketing & Advertising Business Unlimited Inc., which is also designing a new website for the club, the Free Lance-Star reported.
Two sessions will be conducted: one for those 40 and under, and the other for people over 40. Both will be held from 11 a.m. to noon at the club. The 40-and-under group will meet March 4, and the other meeting will be March 6, the Free Lance-Star reported.
Participants in the focus groups will receive a complimentary lunch and a $50 food and beverage certificate that can be redeemed at the club. Attendees will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis with each focus group accommodating up to 12 participants, the Free Lance-Star reported.
