Improvements at the Arizona property include an updated lobby, a modernized look for the private casitas, new pool furnishings, a redesigned spa and a revamped restaurant.
After months of construction, the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North in Scottsdale, Ariz. has unveiled its $13 million renovation that started last spring, the Arizona Republic reported.
From the updated lobby designed to enhance the view of the natural setting to the modern look of the private casitas, visitors to the North Scottsdale resort will notice a more subtle luxury, the Republic reported.
“Our vision has been to bring the warmth, beauty and grandeur of our surroundings into the guest-room experience in a new contemporary fashion,” General Manager Kelly Moreton said in a statement.
The resort’s 210 casitas got a new look, with Whitespace Interiors using what the resort calls a “subtle earth-tone palette,” as well as woods and metals, to highlight the lush desert views from the casitas’ patios and terraces, the Republic reported.
Flat-screen televisions, complete with a speaker on the table, have been added to the patios of 100 casitas and suites, so guests can enjoy a movie or show outdoors, the Republic reported.
The pool area has new furnishings including chaise longues, chairs and cabanas, and the guest relaxation area in the spa was redesigned, the Republic reported.
The resort also re-imagined its main restaurant, Talavera, the Republic reported. Once a steakhouse, it has reopened with a Spanish-concept menu led by 29-year-old chef Samantha Sands, an up-and-coming name in the culinary community. Artwork from local Mexican artist Gennaro Garcia surrounds the entry to the restaurant.
In addition, The Gin Bar offers guests a place to have a pre-dinner drink. Bartenders help guests learn about gin cocktails as well as the resort’s selection of vermouths, the Republic reported.
