The City of Orlando, Fla., announced the construction of a brand-new, state-of-the-art driving range and golf learning center at Dubsdread Golf Course. This addition, set to open this summer, is designed to enhance the golf experience for players of all skill levels – welcoming not just seasoned golfers, but beginners, families, youth and anyone curious about the game.
“Today marks an exciting new chapter in the legacy of Dubsdread Golf Course,” said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. “For decades, this course has been a cornerstone of Orlando’s golfing tradition, and with the opening of this state-of-the-art driving range, we’re honoring that history while investing in its future.”
The new driving range at Dubsdread is more than just a practice facility, it’s a place where the community can come together to enjoy golf in a relaxed, inclusive environment.
“This project is the result of a strong public-private partnership that continues to bring innovation and accessibility to our city’s recreational spaces,” said District 3 Commissioner Robert Stuart. “We’re proud to see Dubsdread grow as a destination for both seasoned golfers and newcomers alike.”
“The goal is to make golf more approachable, especially for beginners and youth, while offering a premier destination for instruction, entertainment, and connection,” said Rodney Reifsnider, General Manager of Dubsdread Golf Course. “Whether you’re an avid golfer or picking up a club for the first time, there will be something for everyone.”
Key Features of the New Driving Range and Learning Center:
– 40 Total Bays – 36 outfitted with advanced golf technology for an interactive experience and four traditional bays for those who prefer a classic approach.
– VIP Experience – Select bays will offer premium seating, entertainment screens and enhanced comfort for an upgraded outing.
– Learning Center – Includes two private teaching bays featuring full Trackman technology for precision training and custom fitting.
– Classroom Space – A spacious learning area designed for junior golf camps and Dubsdread’s popular “Tee It Up” lesson series, supporting youth and beginner instruction.
Guests can also enjoy a brand-new snack bar, offering food options, a full-service bar, and a selection of golf merchandise. The snack bar will also serve as a convenient support hub for range access and guest services.
Construction of the new driving range is being led by Turner Construction.
