Jonathan’s Landing Golf Club, nestled among the intracoastal waterways of Jupiter, Fla., completed a comprehensive renovation project led by golf course designer Beau Welling and his firm, Beau Welling Design (BWD).
The multi-faceted renovation includes significant infrastructure updates and design alterations to the Village Course at Jonathan’s Landing, as well as new and improved practice facilities to enhance the experience for current members and future generations. As part of the renovation, Welling, along with BWD Vice President Scott Benson and Senior Design Associates Amanda Barbee and Hunter Rigsby, revitalized the championship layout to increase playability, address course strategy and encourage thought-provoking and enjoyable rounds for golfers of all skill levels.
“It has been an honor to work with Jonathan’s Landing to refresh the Village Course’s infrastructure and to enhance the playing experience for the membership,” Welling said. “Jonathan’s Landing is a very special club with a really wonderful group of members, so we felt a deep sense of responsibility to do a great job. We engaged the membership to develop goals and objectives for the project and then worked really hard to meet those goals of making the golf course more playable and strategic and adding variety for all players, regardless of skill level. We are super happy with the end result and look forward to having the members enjoy the new Village Course for many years to come.”
The renovation project also features state-of-the-art infrastructure upgrades across the golf course including irrigation, drainage and bunkering, as well as aesthetic improvements with regrassing and landscape alterations.
Additional updates to the course include:
– New greens, tees and bunkers across all 18 holes
– Reshaping of the landscape including new contouring throughout the golf course
– Rerouting of holes three through seven
– Strategic tree clearing and relocation for expanded sightlines across the golf course
– New state-of-the-art drainage and irrigation to enhance sustainability and optimize water storage resources
– Bimini Bermudagrass tees and fairways
– New concrete cart paths
– Renovated practice range and short game area
“The newly reimagined Village Course is a testament to our commitment to providing our members with exceptional golfing experiences” said Jonathan’s Landing General Manager Joe DiPasquantonio. “This redesigned course offers a perfect blend of challenge and playability, ensuring golfers of all skill levels can enjoy the game in a setting of unparalleled beauty.
