Palm Beach County First Responders were again recognized for their tireless service to the community at Mizner Country Club’s sixth annual First Responders Day in Delray Beach, Fla. on Oct. 16. The Palm Beach County’s Emergency Medical Services, Police and Fire departments and Mizner’s private security were invited to partake in a tribute luncheon and play a round of golf at the club.
“It’s one of the club’s annual traditions to recognize first responders,”said Ed Linsley, Mizner Country Club’s General Manager & Chief Operating Officer. “It was heartwarming to see the overwhelming participation of the Mizner community, who came out to show their appreciation and say thanks to those who dedicated their lives to community service.”
He added, “We are extremely fortunate to have a strong relationship with Sheriff Bradshaw and his district command officers, as well as Fire/Rescue Departments and other first responder teams that serve our community daily.”
Linsley also thanked Susan Feldman, the event’s Chair and Master of Ceremonies, for her time and dedication to organizing this annual event.
“Susan dedicates a tremendous amount of time communicating with many of our local PBSO, PBFD, DPD, BPD, and PBGPD officials so that we can make today happen,” Linsley said.
The day also included tours for Mizner members, their children, and grandchildren of the latest fire engines and SWAT and bomb vehicles, K-9 and tactical teams, the Sheriff’s P.I.N.K. squad car, the Sheriff helicopter, as well as visits from mounted police units.
