Existing facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee will relocate to 600,000-square-foot facility and begin operations in April 2011
Electrolux Professional Inc. announced that it has chosen Fairburn, Georgia as the new site of the company’s regional distribution center for the southeastern United States. Operations are expected to be fully operational in April, 2011.
The site selection follows an extensive search for a location that optimizes service for customers in an eleven-state area. Key to the decision was the ability to reduce current delivery time of major appliances to a significant number of dealers, builders and consumers served by the existing facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Chattanooga facility is scheduled to close in May as the Fairburn facility becomes fully operational.
The 600,000-square-foot facility will store and ship Electrolux Professional appliances including commercial foodservice and laundry appliances.
The warehouse space incorporates energy saving characteristics such as skylights, motion controlled lighting and heat reflective roofing materials.
