E-Z-GO is showcasing its commitment to innovation at the 2016 Golf Industry Show with its enhanced lineup of E-Z-GO® golf cars and Cushman® utility and hospitality vehicles, including the redesigned E-Z-GO RXV® and the new Cushman Refresher Oasis™ food-and-beverage vehicle.
“E-Z-GO and Cushman have been trusted names in the golf course industry for more than 60 years,” said Kevin Holleran, president of E-Z-GO and Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc., Textron Inc. companies. “We’re proud to continue our legacy of next-generation efficiency and reliability with the enhanced E-Z-GO RXV golf car and Cushman Refresher Oasis hospitality vehicle.”
E-Z-GO, in partnership with fellow Textron company Jacobsen, sponsored the GIS Trade Show Opening at 8:30 a.m. on February 10 with a special celebration. At booth 3340, superintendents, course managers and owners can learn how E-Z-GO and Cushman use smart design to deliver cost savings and a superior course experience. After exploring E-Z-GO’s smart solutions, including technologies such as the RXV electric golf car’s patented IntelliBrake™, visitors can put their own smarts to the test with the interactive “Intelligence That Pays” game and receive a multi-port USB charger and a chance to win up to $1,000.
The next-generation E-Z-GO RXV raises the bar on superior golf car performance. Equipped with an AC drivetrain and IntelliBrake technology, the RXV is the industry leader in efficiency. E-Z-GO’s AC drivetrain is up to 25 percent more efficient than a traditional DC drivetrain for superior energy efficiency, increased power and longer run times between charges.
The electric RXV’s patented IntelliBrake system automatically slows the vehicle when traveling up or down steep grades, and engages the parking brake when the vehicle stops, without the need for operator input. IntelliBrake also delivers full-time regenerative braking, recharging the vehicle’s batteries whenever brakes are applied, to further extend the vehicle’s energy efficiency and range. The RXV is also available in a 13.5 hp gas-powered model. Both models provide rack-and-pinion steering and independent front suspension.
The RXV’s design was recently updated based on golfer feedback with a modern, automotive look and luxury refinements that maximize the golfer’s experience. New amenities include ergonomic seats, larger cup holders, abundant in-dash storage and the industry’s largest bagwell.
The Refresher Oasis is the latest addition to the Cushman line of hospitality vehicles, and provides another opportunity to increase revenue through on-course beverage and merchandise sales. Featuring four beverage compartments with an industry-leading 500-can capacity, the Refresher Oasis was engineered for volume and superior durability. With a 12.1-square-foot wrap-around counter, its sleek design also includes a 6.7-cubic-foot merchandising/dry goods cabinet. Optional airpots are available and courses can order the vehicle, counter, refresher unit and canopy in optional colors.
In addition to the company’s new vehicle offerings, E-Z-GO will highlight its integrated fleet management system, TKV GPS, which provides remote vehicle health and service monitoring, geo-fencing and real-time communication with golfers. The booth will also showcase TechForce™, the nation’s largest network of experienced golf car service technicians, with unparalleled response time.
