The PGA TOUR, DraftKings and TPC Scottsdale are teaming up to open a premium retail sportsbook at TPC Scottsdale, home of the Waste Management Phoenix Open in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Scottsdale City Council on April 5 approved initial plans for DraftKings Sportsbook at TPC Scottsdale and construction of the facility is slated to begin in May, with opening targeted for fall of 2023. Allen + Philp Partners is serving as the lead architect for the project.
Amenities at DraftKings Sportsbook will include more than 3,400 square feet of video walls and screens, an outdoor/patio area with video screens, VIP cabanas and fire pits.
There will be about 40 sports betting kiosks, seven ticket windows and a variety of wagering options for customers that are similar to the choices available in Arizona on the DraftKings Online Sportsbook. Customers will have access to complimentary high-speed internet service and will be able to use their mobile devices to place wagers. Seating in both interior and exterior spaces will be available for approximately 390 customers, and there will be some additional standing room area for patrons.
A restaurant will offer elevated domestic fare, 12 beers on tap and mixed drinks.
Though specific operating hours have not been determined, DraftKings Sportsbook at TPC Scottsdale will be open to the public except during the WM Phoenix Open. When the golf tournament takes place, the site will be used as a hospitality area.
Guests must be 21 years of age or older to enter the wagering lounge inside the Sportsbook, however, guests of all ages will be able to visit the restaurant and patio amenities and do not need to have active wagers to enter the retail area.
