The Walnut Creek, Calif., property plans to add 7,108 sq. ft. to the existing 6,257-sq. ft. structure, which also houses the Greenery Restaurant. A planning department report states that the expanded facility is not expected to cause any adverse litter, noise, parking or other problems, but conditions such as prohibiting alcohol sales promotions will likely be enacted.
The Walnut Creek (Calif.) Planning Commission will hold a hearing tonight on plans by the Diablo Hills Golf Course to more than double the size of its clubhouse and restaurant facility, the Walnut Creek Patch reported.
The plans call for adding 7,108 sq. ft. to the existing 25-foot tall, 6,257-sq. ft. Greenery Restaurant and clubhouse on the nine-hole golf course near Heather Farm Park. The plans call for the continuation of the live entertainment and dancing that is currently held in the establishment, Patch reported.
The facility sits on the 2.9-acre parcel at the front entrance of the golf course. A planning department report states the expanded facility is not expected to cause any adverse litter, noise, parking or other problems, Patch reported.
Several proposed conditions are recommended by city planners. They include making sure customers don’t loiter in the parking lot after business hours, the prohibition of alcohol sales promotions such as ladies night, and the restriction that alcohol sales cannot exceed food sales during any quarterly period, Patch reported.
