The Par-54 Design—named No. 7 at the Scottsdale, Ariz. property—will be one of only two private, par-54 rated courses in the U.S. and will feature a lighted putting green. A new family-centric clubhouse will include an indoor-outdoor gastropub, state-of-the-art sound system, and two bocce ball courts.
Desert Mountain Club, located in Scottsdale, Ariz., will unveil its seventh golf course and a new clubhouse this spring.
The par-54 course will be one of only two private, par-54-rated courses in the United States and serve as the focal point for the exclusive Seven Desert Mountain community.
The course is being designed by Bill Brownlee of M3 Companies and Wendell Pickett of Greey|Pickett, both of whom are Desert Mountain Club members. Brownlee and Pickett also collaborated on the “Li’l Wick” nine-hole short game course at Wickenburg Ranch in Wickenburg, Ariz.
No. 7 at Desert Mountain is being created to be inclusive and challenging for golfers of all skill levels. The course will feature extensive fairways and ample greens, as well as a lighted putting green.
“The concepts behind No. 7 at Desert Mountain are an extension of [the club’s] overall vision,” said Desert Mountain Club CEO Damon DiOrio. “Not only will No. 7 maintain the high standards of golf we embrace throughout Desert Mountain, it will provide even more experiences, enabling golfers to reimagine how they play the sport.”
Beyond the 18-hole course, No. 7 will feature a sleek, modern clubhouse that will serve as a central, family-centric gathering space with an indoor-outdoor gastropub, state-of-the-art sound system, and two bocce ball courts. Set against a high-desert backdrop with expansive, collapsible glass walls, the clubhouse will bring the outdoors in. The facility will offer heated patio floors, indoor and outdoor bars, several fire pits and fireplaces.
The 90-acre enclave, which will have its own private entrance just west of the existing main gate, will also include up to 190 custom homes designed by custom home builders Cullum Homes, Camelot Homes and Family Development.
Homeowners at Seven will become members of Desert Mountain Club as part of their property purchase. Options include equity lifestyle or equity golf membership at Desert Mountain Club, gaining access to its amenities including the newly renovated Sonoran Spa and Fitness Center, the tennis complex, pickleball courts, miles of private hiking and biking trails, six additional private golf courses and other distinctive clubhouses and restaurants.
An additional golf membership dedicated primarily to No.7 at Desert Mountain Club is also available.
