Over 100 members of the Desert Highlands Golf Club in north Scottsdale, Ariz. enjoyed a “sneak peak” at the progress of a $4 million clubhouse restoration project that has been in full swing this summer and is scheduled for completion in mid-October, the club reports.
Members of Desert Highlands, which is both a Platinum Club and Distinguished Emerald Club, voted overwhelmingly to restore and refresh the property’s award-winning clubhouse to enhance down-valley views and capture more of the natural Sonoran Desert palette while providing additional gathering places for the socially oriented homeowner’s community, the club reports.
The renovation will provide members with an increased variety of dining venues, including a repositioned, custom wood-crafted bar that will provide both inside and outdoor seating and include sliding-glass, wall-length panels. A wine tasting room is also being created, along with outdoor casual-seating clusters positioned around 11 gas-fire features on various layered patios.
After completion of the project in October, a Grand Opening event is scheduled for Desert Highlands members later that month.
