The $4 million restoration provided members of the Scottsdale, Ariz., property with a variety of new dining venues, an 1,890-bottle wine tasting room and a new Coffee/Sunset Patio Bar, and has helped to boost F&B revenues by 33% in the past year, the club reports.
Desert Highlands in Scottsdale, Ariz., recognized as a Platinum Club, a Distinguished Emerald Club and as one of the Healthiest Clubs in America, recently completed a $4 million clubhouse restoration project, on time and in budget, that has increased food and beverage revenues over 33% over the past year, the club reports.
The restoration provided members with a variety of new dining venues, including a custom, hand-carved mesquite wood bar with indoor/outdoor seating and sliding-glass, wall-length panels. An expansive 1,890-bottle wine tasting room was also added.
A new Coffee/Sunset Patio Bar now offers members a “morning coffee pick-me-up spot before golf or a workout,” the club says, as well as “a gorgeous locale for a relaxing cocktail or snack, such as wood-fired pizzas, before dinner.” Casual patio seating areas positioned around 11 gas-fire features on layered patios highlight the stunning valley and desert views.
Desert Highlands’ golf operations continued uninterrupted throughout the project, and food-and-beverage operations were rearranged with only minimal disruptions or closures, the club reports. An Opening Night Party ended with a special, original song about the clubhouse restoration project that was written and performed by a Desert Highlands member.
Desert Highlands also announced that an $840 capital assessment refund has been issued to all members for 2013, after a successful year of home sales.
