The golf course renovation at the West Des Moines, Iowa club is expected to close holes 1-5 and 15-18 on the north course through October, though the other 27 holes will remain open. Nine holes will undergo a much-needed facelift at Des Moines Golf and Country Club in West Des Moines, Iowa, according to course officials, the Des Moines (Iowa) Register reported.
The renovation is expected to close holes No. 1–5 and 15–18 on the north course beginning August 19 through October. The other 27 holes at the golf course will remain open throughout the renovation, the Register reported.
Improvements will include replacement or rearrangement of all bunkers and a complete renovation of 20 tee boxes and two greens, said General Manager Jim Cutter.
The last major renovation of this size took place about 15 years ago, Cutter said.
The first course at the facility opened in 1968, followed by the opening of a second course in 1969, the Register reported.
