The producer and distributor of fresh and fresh-cut produce has released a short video of its “Find Your Inner Chef” competition, available to all on Vimeo. Kara Adanalian won the competition with her Red Pepper and Avocado Stuffed Chicken Breast, earning a retreat for two to the Napa Valley Culinary Institute.

Del Monte Fresh Produce N.A., Inc. has created a short video documenting its “Find Your Inner Chef” National Cook Off. The energetic and non-linear video can be found at https://vimeo.com/69569357 and can be accessed using the password: fresh.

The online contest, which launched April 15 and culminated with the national cookoff, encouraged consumers to submit their own recipe using Del Monte® fruits and vegetables.

Kara Adanalian from Fresno, Calif., earned the title and the grand prize, a retreat for two to the Napa Valley Culinary Institute. Kara’s winning recipe, Red Pepper and Avocado Stuffed Chicken Breast with a pastry gremolata and white-wine reduction, received rave reviews from the judges.

That national cookoff was held on the campus of The Miami Dade College Hospitality School – Miami Culinary Institute. Each aspiring chef prepared a dish from their social media-winning recipe that met certain criteria, and were given an hour to complete their recipes.
