August 20 will be the last day that golf course superintendents can apply to attend the four-day program, to be held Dec. 9-12 in Winston-Salem, N.C., in conjunction with the Wake Forest University Schoool of Business.
Golf course superintendents wishing to attend the four-day Syngenta Business Institute in Winston-Salem, N.C. from Dec 9-12 have until August 20th to submit their applications to be selected for the group of 25 who will attend the program, which is run in conjunction with the Wake Forest University School of Business.
The program delivers “hands-on knowledge for superintendents to enhance their business acumen, and provides a set of leadership skills for their professional development,” according to Syngenta. The program supplements and complements superintendents’ existing knowledge base, allowing more productive and efficient golf course management, Syngenta says.
Specific areas covered during the program include financial and human resource management, delegation skills, effective communications and negotiation skills, and more.
This will be the fifth year that the Business Institute has been held. Superintendents accepted for the program will be notified by early October.
