Sawgrass Golf Resort & Spa in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. has hired Chef David Scalise as the resort’s Executive Chef.
Scalise, who comes to Sawgrass from the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort and Spa in Dana Point, Calif., brings a wealth of culinary expertise to the Sawgrass Golf Resort & Spa team. His “California flair “cooking style will be infused into the resort’s dishes to provide healthy, fresh and appropriate portions.
To complement this style, the resort is working to include locally grown products, fresh seafood and sustainable resources at all of its restaurants.
