Golf course renovations are nearly complete at Houndslake Country Club in Aiken, S.C. and a party will be held to celebrate the changes, says the Aiken Standard. Work began in May on green side bunkers on the club’s Dogwood Nine and Azalea Nine courses, and new sod was laid on the putting green complex.
To celebrate the course improvements, Houndslake has invited club members and guests to a party celebrating the improvements. “There will be complimentary hot dogs, iced tea and tours of the renovations,” says club General Manager Jeff Howell.
Howell said cost of the work cost roughly $500,000, but that it was time to have it done as Houndslake’s bunkers hadn’t been modified since the club opened in the 1970s.
