Improvements include new outdoor dining, lounge, fire pit and more.
The Country Club of the South, Atlanta, Ga., recently announced that it currently is undergoing an exciting renovation project that will transform the clubhouse to better complement the changing lifestyles of today’s private club member.
The club recently re-opened its Jack Nicklaus Signature Course after extensive improvements and has introduced new programming and benefits. The “new” Country Club of the South is the result of its joining the ClubCorp family of clubs in June of 2010.
Since the purchase, the club has seen a dramatic upswing in membership as it continues its transformation.
The clubhouse improvements, slated to be completed in fall 2011, include:
- New fire pit for outdoor socializing
- New outdoor dining options
- New men’s locker room terrace
- New outdoor lounge
- New indoor dining amenities
- New lobby lounge
- New seating arrangements, tablet armchairs, lighting fixtures and more.
“I am very excited about the changes coming to the clubhouse. As the improvements are complete, we will be able to offer the members so much more in terms of dining and social offerings,” said Jay Biggs, General Manager. “Our goal is to create a more relevant, vibrant, and fun hub for the community and I think our members will love the ‘new’ Country Club of the South.”
