The waterfront gated golf community in Bluffton, S.C. will add a state-of-the-art fitness complex and wellness center, a new poolside cafe, a tennis center, bocce and pickleball courts, and make renovations and additions to its Dye Clubhouse with expanded dining options. “We are confident that the improved first-class amenities will cement our standing as the premier private club in the region,” said GM/COO Tim Bakels.
Colleton River Club, a waterfront gated golf community in Bluffton, S.C., announced the approval of a new amenities project that will enhance the quality of life for existing members, while supporting the growth and real estate objectives of their revitalization plan.
This approval comes on the heels of acquiring 100 total homesites from the original developer, Bill Goowin, selling all of the highly desirable deep water lots in the prestigious community, as well as the renovations to the Nicklaus Clubhouse.
Architects, a design team, Colleton River Club management and a resident-led Renovation Task Force all collaborated for the past year on the plan for these amenity improvements. The plans consist of a state-of-the-art fitness complex and wellness center, a new poolside cafe, a tennis center, bocce and pickleball courts, and renovations and additions to the Dye Clubhouse with expanded dining options.
“We are very excited about our members’ approval of this upcoming amenities project,” said Tim Bakels, General Manager and Chief Operating Officer. “We are confident that the improved first-class amenities will cement our standing as the premier private club in the region.”
Colleton River Club is now entering the final design and execution phase of the project and more details will be released as they move forward. Crews are expected to begin the first phase of construction at the end of 2021. The project is scheduled to be completed by 2023.
