Thomas “Tucker” Burns has been named as the new General Manager, along with Tanya Barshell as Assistant General Manager and William “Chef Bill” Calbo as the new Executive Chef.
Three new high-powered club executives are now completing their transition into Cold Spring Country Club, Huntington, N.Y., as part of a major strategic initiative undertaken by the Board of Governors to reposition the club.
Thomas “Tucker” Burns has been named as the new General Manager, along with Tanya Barshell as Assistant General Manager and William “Chef Bill” Calbo as the new Executive Chef.
Burns possesses over 25 years of club management experience. He is described by his colleagues as having energetic leadership skills and as being adept at implementing creative and futuristic thinking in all aspects of his responsibilities.
Barshell has over five years experience in the upper levels of private club management on Long Island. She was previously with Old Westbury Country Club, where she directed the catering department among other responsibilities.
Calbo brings over 17 years of culinary experience to Cold Spring at a time when membership demands for sophisticated fare have never been higher. In his first month, Calbo has transformed the kitchen operations providing a tremendously positive impact to the membership. He brings a cutting edge style to the operation while providing a balance of flair and flavor to all his dishes.
