Robert C. James, CCM, CCE, CHE, Chief Operating Officer of Westchester Country Club, Rye, N.Y., was elected President; Robert J. “Bobby” Crifasi, CCM, CCE, CPA, General Manager of New Orleans Country Club was elected Vice-President; and Randall J. Ruder, CCM, CCE, General Manager of Beach Point Club, Mamaroneck, N.Y. was elected Secretary–Treasurer. The association also announced that C. W. Cook, MCM, CCE, General Manager/Chief Operating Officer of North Hills Club, Raleigh, N.C., and Mac Niven, MCM, CCE, General Manager, Almaden Golf & Country Club, San Jose, Calif., have completed the requirements for the Master Club Manager designation.
The Club Managers Association of America has announced its 2017 Officers and Board of Directors. Voting for officers and directors was conducted online and in-person at CMAA’s 90th World Conference on Club Management and Club Business Expo in Orlando, Fla. The election results were announced February 11.
The 2017 CMAA Officers are:
- President Robert C. James, CCM, CCE, CHE, Chief Operating Officer of Westchester Country Club, Rye, N.Y.;
- Vice President Robert J. “Bobby” Crifasi, CCM, CCE, CPA, General Manager of New Orleans Country Club;

It was also announced that C. W. Cook’s monograph is entitled Aquatic Risk Management and Best Practices for Clubs and Niven’s monograph is entitled GM/COO Board Relations: How Can a Club’s GM/COO and its Board of Directors Effectively Work Together to Accomplish the Club’s Vision and Goals?
Marcel Bregstein, CCM, of The Toronto Hunt, Scarborough, Ontario, Canada and Lee Mackay, CCM of Carlouel Yacht Club, Clearwater, Fla., earned the Certified Club Manager designation.
