As a response to current self-distancing and quarantine mandates, the FLEX turnkey program offers club operators the opportunity to provide curated classes, specific workouts, stretches, cool downs and wellness content to all or a select group of members, based on their membership type.
As a response to current self-distancing and quarantine mandates, FitnessOnDemand is making it possible for club operators to offer members custom fitness content without the need for integration into current club systems or installing any new hardware. FLEX is designed as a new turnkey solution for clubs to provide seamless programming wherever they may be—in studio, elsewhere in the club, at home or on the go.
“Last year we met with club operators at IHRSA 2019 where this was one of their biggest asks of us,” said Uday Anumalachetty, Divisional Vice President of FitnessOnDemand. “Every club operator wants to extend the member experience with their club’s brand beyond the club walls, right now more so than ever.
“But the vast majority of clubs today don’t have their own club-specific app, which means when members are away from the club, they’re using YouTube or another fitness app to give them flexible workout options,” Anumalachetty added. “That’s a missed opportunity to lock your member into your brand, and it’s what FLEX is all about—seamless fitness content and experience for every member wherever they chose to start or continue their workouts.”
FLEX enables club operators to give all or just select members, based on their membership type, access to hundreds of curated classes, specific workouts, stretches, cool downs and wellness content from around the world. Content creators include Jillian Michaels and FitFusion, SH1FT, Sweat Factor, Zumba & Strong by Zumba, Daily Burn, GymRa and many more.
FitnessOnDemand club customers can simply add the new FLEX off-site access option to their current systems and provide either 50, 200 or 500 licenses to their members. Enterprise-level agreements in excess of 500 licenses are also available by working on a custom basis with FitnessOnDemand.
As part of this launch, all new FitnessOnDemand GROUP system orders will automatically receive 500 user licenses of FLEX free to use until June 1, 2020, providing instant off-site access for their members.
“Nothing should get in the way of your workout, whether it’s a busy or disrupted daily schedule or the inability to get to your gym,” said Andrew Evenson, senior director operations and brand strategy, FitnessOnDemand. “With FLEX, members get instant access to the same library of content and classes wherever they are. We’re extending the exact programming they’d experience in studio beyond the walls of the club.
“That’s a win for clubs who get to engage their members with their brand and programming, and an absolute convenience for members who can’t get to the gym but don’t want to deal with the endless, disorganized disarray of workouts on YouTube or other apps,” Evenson said.
