ClubCorp is planning an extensive capital improvement campaign that will start immediately.
Dallas-based ClubCorp recently announced the acquisition of Canterwood Golf & Country Club in Gig Harbor, Washington. The purchase of Canterwood, a private club, marks the fourth acquisition in 2011 for ClubCorp, which will immediately begin a more than $1 million capital improvement project on the property.
Canterwood Golf & Country Club features a Robert Muir Graves-designed 18-hole, 7,175-yard championship golf course.
Members of the prior club owner and new golf members who join prior to October 10, 2011, will have the opportunity to sign up for ClubCorp’s Signature Gold program dues free for 12 months, which offers complimentary golf and dining privileges when traveling to ClubCorp’s network of more than 200 owned or affiliated clubs around the country. Members with Signature Gold benefits also can have access to TicketLine, a personal concierge service that offers premium tickets for the some of the best concerts, sporting events, and local theater tickets in the Seattle-Tacoma area and throughout the country.
The most recent additions to the ClubCorp family of clubs include three golf properties located in the eastern area of Long Island, New York – The Hamlet Golf & Country Club in Commack, Willow Creek Golf & Country Club in Mt. Sinai, and Wind Watch Golf & Country Club in Hauppauge, which ClubCorp acquired this past June.
