The PGA of America announced that Vince Juarez, PGA, General Manager at Deerpath Golf Course in Lake Forest, Ill., has earned PGA Master Professional status, the highest educational designation that can be obtained by a PGA Member.
Boris Gradina, MCM, CCE, General Manager of Maryland Golf & Country Club in Bel Air, Md. has achieved the designation of Master Club Manager (MCM) through the Club Management Association of America.
Ryan Kenny, CCM, CCE, of Dedham (Mass.) Country and Polo Club attained the designation of Certified Chief Executive through the Club Management Association of America.
Jesse Thorpe, CCM, CCE, of Hammock Dunes Club in Palm Coast, Fla. attained the designation of Certified Chief Executive through the Club Management Association of America. Hammock Dunes Club was the C+RB cover feature in January 2020.

Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor has named Kory Foltz as Executive Chef. Before joining the resort, Foltz held a variety of culinary roles at Hyatt Regency Sarasota, Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa, Grand Hyatt Tampa and Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor.
Château Élan Golf Club in Braselton, Ga. named Jason Luna as the club’s new Director of Food Service Operations. Easley was most recently General Manager at Stonebridge Golf Club in New Orleans.
Western Golf Properties and Western Hospitality Group hired Chef Joe Youkan as National Director of Culinary Operations. Youkhan is a seasoned culinary artist and a recently crowned champion of Chopped, the popular high stakes cooking competition show on the Food Network.
Pound Ridge (N.Y.) Golf Club named Brad Worthington as Director of Golf Operations. Previously, Worthington was Director of Golf at New York City’s Trump Golf Links as well as Head Golf Professional at both Brooklawn Country Club (Fairfield, Conn.) and Atlantic Golf Club (Bridgehampton, N.Y.).
Matt Belizze was named Head Golf Professional at Hudson Hills Golf Course in Ossining,N.Y. Belizze joined the Westchester County-owned course from Southward Ho Country Club on Long Island, where he served as Assistant professional.
Putnam County Golf Course in Mahopac, N.Y. named Jari Tompuri as Head Golf Professional. Tompuri was most recently Head Professional at Diamante Country Club in Arkansas.

The Wilderness at Fortune Bay in Tower, Minn. named Ryan VerNess as Superintendent. VerNess previously served as the Manager of Grounds at the San Francisco 49ers and Director of Golf Course Maintenance at The Bayonet and Blackhorse Golf Course in Seaside, Cal.
The Country Club of Farmington (Conn.) has hired Certified Golf Course Superintendent Scott Ramsay to manage golf course maintenance operations on restoration of the 1921 Devereux Emmett design. Ramsay most recently worked at The Golf Club at Yale in New Haven, Conn.
Kenton County (Ky.) Golf Courses named Ron Freking as Superintendent. Freking was most recently at Devou Park Golf & Event Center in Covington, Ky.
Kyle Barton, Golf Course Superintendent at Tam O’Shanter Country Club in West Bloomfield, Mich., has been named a Grassroots Ambassador Leadership Award winner from the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.
Gary Ingram, CGCS, Director of Agronomy at Metropolitan Golf Links in Oakland, Calif., has been selected to receive the 2020 President’s Award for Environmental Stewardship by the Board of Directors of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.
The Lodge of Four Seasons in Lake of the Ozarks, Mo. promoted Kay Samuelson to Director of Sales. Samuelson has worked for the property for 19 years, most recently as Regional Sales Manager.
Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island has named Peter Conboy as its Director of Finance. Conboy was most recently Director of Finance at Wild Dunes Resort near Charleston, S.C.
Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Fla. has appointed Marcos De La O’ as Director of Finance. De La O’ was most recently Director of Finance with Crescent Hotels and Resorts at the Horseshoe Bay Resort.
French Lick (Ind.) Resort welcomed Ashley Vezzoso-Schaefer and Brittany Kummer to its sales staff. Vezzoso-Schaefer was most recently with the Evansville (Ind.) Convention & Visitors Bureau. Kummer was most recently at the Chase Park Plaza St. Louis (Mo.).
Bayside Resort Golf Club in Selbyville, Del. has named Kellie Pitts as Director of Sales. Pitts joined Bayside Resort Golf Club in 2009 and was most recently Director of Membership.
Golf management firm Touchstone Golf announced several new officer positions and promotions, including: Brian Melody was named Vice President of Operations; Carol McGrail has been named Vice President and Controller; Ashley van Dissel was named Vice President, Sales and Marketing; Amy Watson has been named Vice President and Director of Human Resources; and Chris Meade, a PGA Professional based at Lady Bird Johnson Golf Club in Fredericksburg, Texas, has been promoted to Regional Manager for Central Texas.
Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa named Sean Rigotti as Director of Sales. Rigotti was most recently Senior Sales Manager of Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa.
The Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst named Nick Gray, PGA as Membership Development and Communications. Gray was most recently Membership Director at Quail Creek Country Club in Naples, Fla.

Alto-Shaam has promoted Ryan Norman to Director of Consultant Services. Norman joined Alto-Shaam in 2013 as a Corporate Executive Chef and was promoted to Regional Culinary Manager in 2016.
