Baylands Golf Links in Palo Alto, Calif. named Siegfried Wroebel as General Manager. Wroebel is a 16-plus year veteran of the golf industry working his way from an Assistant Professional at Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach, Calif. to leading the golf operations at clubs throughout Northern California. Most recently, Wroebel was General Manager at Monarch Bay Golf Club in San Leandro, Calif.
Tampa Palms Golf & Country Club in Tampa, Fla. named David DiRenzo, CCM, PGA as General Manager. DiRenzo was most recently General Manager at Tower Club Fort Lauderdale (Fla.).
MacGregor Downs Country Club in Cary, N.C. named Ed Hanley as General Manager. Hanley was most recently General Manager at The Club at 12 Oaks in Holly Springs, N.C.
Southern Trace Country Club in Shreveport, La. named Paul Veneziano, PGA as General Manager. Veneziano recently served as General Manager at Colonial Country Club in Cordova, Tenn., and prior to that, was General Manager and golf course construction supervisor at Santa Maria Golf and Country Club in Panama City, Panama.
Charlotte (N.C.) City Club named Elisha Cicerone as General Manager & Chief Operating Officer. Previous club experience includes Assistant General Manager and Food & Beverage Director at Chevy Chase Club in Maryland, Food and Beverage Director at Miramont Country Club in Bryan, Texas and Banquet Manager at Atlanta’s Cherokee Town and Country Club.
The Amarillo (Texas) Club named David Schmidt as General Manager. Schmidt was most recently General Manager of The Racquet Club in Midland, Texas.
The Longmeadow (Mass.) Country Club named Dan Post-Kennedy as Club Manager. Post-Kennedy was most recently General Manager of Black Rock Yacht Club in Bridgeport, Conn.
Drumlins Country Club in Syracuse, N.Y. named Chris Myslow as Director. Myslow was most recently General Manager of Tumble Brook Country Club in Bloomfield, Conn.
Rio Verde (Ariz.) Country Club named Josh Brown, PGA as Director of Golf. Brown most recently served as the Head Golf Professional at La Cantera Resort and Spa in San Antonio, Texas.
Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa in Galena, Ill. named Michael E. Weiler, PGA as Director of Golf. Weiler’s 35-plus years in the golf industry includes jobs as Head Golf Professional, PGA Golf Director and General Manager at properties such as Evergreen Country Club in Elkhorn, Wis., Country Club Estates Golf Course in Fontana, Wis., Bonita Bay Club in Bonita Springs, Fla., Bay Colony Golf Club in Naples, Fla., and The Club at Wynstone in North Barrington, Ill. Weiler’s father, Ken, served the Park Ridge Country Club as their Head Golf Professional for 35 years.
The Country Club of Hilton Head (S.C.) named Kris Kodys as Head Golf Professional. A Class A Member of the PGA of America, Kodys was most recently Head Golf Professional at The Ranch Country Club in Westminster, Colo. He began is career an Assistant Professional at Boulder (Colo.) Country Club.
Salmon Falls Resort in Ketchikan, Alaska named Jordan Swiler as Executive Chef. Prior to joining Salmon Falls Resort, Swiler served as the Executive Chef at Café and Bar Lurcat in Minneapolis since 2016. Previously, he helped open The Continental in Naples, Florida, where he spent two years as an executive sous-chef.
The Country Club in Chestnut Hill, Mass. named Alicia Lapriore as Director of Events. Lapriore was most recently Senior Sales Manager ay Longwood Venues + Destinations in Boston, Mass.
The Club Management Association of America announced the newest club management professionals to attain the designation of Certified Club Manager (CCM). The members of CMAA and the Canadian Society of Club Managers (CSCM) who were recently successful in meeting all CCM requirements are: Zachary Fox, CCM, Mount Vernon Country Club in Alexandria, Va.; Simon Gatrell, CCM, Royal Victoria Yacht Club in Victoria, Ontario; Jeff Germond, CCM, Mississiauga (Ontario) Golf & Country Club; Ben Lorenzen, CCM, Champions Run in Omaha, Neb.; Alexander McDonald, CCM, Beacon Hill Club in Summit, N.J.; Jennifer Paciotti, CCM, Daniel Island Club in Charleston, S.C.; and Morgan West, CCM, The Country Club in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
The National Club Association (NCA) elected new officers to govern the Association. The new officers include NCA Chair Michael Bruni, Board of Directors, Olympia Fields Country Club in Olympia Fields, Ill.; and Nick Sidorakis, CCM, General Manager/COO of Southern Hills Country Club, in Tulsa, Okla., serving as Vice Chair. Luke O’Boyle, CCM, CCE, General Manager/CEO og Chevy Chase (Md.) Club was elected as Secretary and Malcolm MacColl, Board of Governors, The Windsor Club in Vero Beach, Fla., was re-elected Treasurer. The Immediate Past Chair is Christine Pooler, CCM, ECM, General Manager/COO of Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, Mich. The new director elected to the NCA board for three-year terms is Jeff McFadden, CCM, CCE, ECM, General Manager of the Union League of Philadelphia.

With more than 40 years’ experience in the foodservice equipment industry and proven expertise in leading companies, he takes the reins at Hoshizaki America working strategically with Hoshizaki Japan to build on new opportunities created by this past year’s events.
Rain Bird’s Golf Division named Tony Whelan as International Sales Manager. Whelan first joined Rain Bird International in Canada in 1997 and relocated to Rain Bird’s Tucson, Ariz. offices in 2005 where he worked with Landscape Division teams to grow international sales. In 2008, he joined the Golf Division as a golf specification manager. He left Rain Bird in 2012, but stayed in the golf industry in a leadership role with Jacobsen mowers and led channel expansion and development initiatives with MTD Products.
DENEHY Club Thinking Partners announced today that Michelle Tanzer, Attorney and Chair of the Global Club and Branded Residences Team at Nelson Mullins, has been selected as CTP’s official legal Thinking Partner. Tanzer will advise CTP’s clients on all legal matters that concern private clubs and resorts.
Duininck Golf promoted Sam Duininck to Director of Business Development. He has been in the field working on projects the last several years. The company also established an office in Atlanta (joining Minnesota and Texas) as part of its strategic growth plan.
Tagmarshal named Joey Walters as General Manager, Tagmarshal USA. Walters joined the company in early 2021 as Operations Director. He previously worked with major Google suppliers and other tech giants as well as in the medical industries.
Angello Collins, PGA, who operates Angello Collins Golf at the NAS (Naval Air Station) Jacksonville (Fla.) Golf Club, has joined the A.I.-powered PerfectMotion platform. Collins specializes in teaching military members and juniors.
LTI promoted Matt McEwen to Drafting Manager. McEwen will oversee the critical department that works closely with LTI customers to design the custom serving solutions. McEwen first joined the LTI team in 2012 as a drafter.
In Memoriam
Dave Kingsrud, the former Head Golf Professional at Edgewood Golf Course in North Fargo, N.D., died at age 86. Kingsrud moved to Fargo from Souris Valley Golf Course in Minot, N.D. At Edgewood, he followed in the footsteps of his father Ralph Kingsrud, Edgewood’s first Head Professional, who spent most of his career at the Fargo Country Club. Kingsrud, who was succeeded by current Edgewood Head Professional Greg McCullough, spent most of his retirement years in Charlotte, N.C.
