Portage Country Club in Akron, Ohio named Matthew LeFever as General Manager. LeFever was most recently Assistant General Manager at Signature of Solon (Ohio).
Turtle Point Yacht & Country Club in Killen, Ala. named Tim Walton as General Manager/COO. Walton was most recently The Country Club of Sioux Falls (S.D.).
The University Club of Milwaukee named Carl Granberg, CCM, CCE as General Manager/COO. Granberg was most recently General Manager/COO at Rochester (Minn.) Golf & Country Club.
Chagrin Valley Hunt Club in Gates Mills, Ohio named Chris Henninge as General Manager. Henninge was most recently Club Manager at Rolling Rock Club in Laughlintown, Pa.

The Milwaukee (Wis.) Athletic Club hired Tom McGinty as Executive Chef. McGinty brings nearly two decades of experience in the Midwest culinary scene, having worked most recently as Corporate Executive Chef for Milwaukee’s F Street Hospitality. His prior position of five years provided oversight for the Food & Beverage operations for the AAA Five Diamond & Forbes Five-Star Destination Kohler/American Club Resort.
Shaker Heights (Ohio) Country Club named Amanda Wilson as Director of Membership and Marketing. Wilson was most recently Food & Beverage Manager at Kirtland Country Club in Willoughby, Ohio.

Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort in Saint Helena, S.C. named Lauren Gadd as Chief Financial Officer. Gadd was most recently Director of Finance at Lauderdale Yacht Club in .Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
ClubCorp named TJ Schier as Chief Operating Officer of BigShots Golf. Schier most recently served as President and Founder of Incentivize Solutions, a hospitality industry consulting and training firm. Additionally, he was Founder and President of S.M.A.R.T. Restaurant Group.
The Spirit Golf Association named Jeff Strong, PGA as Vice President of PGA Affairs. Prior to joining SGA, Strong was the General Manager at Eagle Pointe Golf Club & Recreation Complex in Mont Belvieu, Texas. He is also a Past President of the Southern Texas PGA.
The Club Foundation announced the seven student recipients of the 2021 Joe Perdue Scholarship: Alexandria Bado, University of South Carolina; Emily Berkowitz, Fairleigh Dickinson University; Matthew Duhs, University of Nebraska-Lincoln; Cheyenne Luckhardt, Widener University; Christian Milano, Fairleigh Dickinson University; Gabriella Ortiz, Niagara University; and Nilufar Umarova, University of Wisconsin-Stout. The Joe Perdue Scholarship provides tuition support to students who are pursuing careers in club management.
Project Golf, a Myrtle Beach-based grow the game initiative, has named Angel Diaz, PGA as Director. After retiring from the Navy, Diaz, who also has a Bachelor’s degree, graduated from the Golf Academy of America and worked for eight years as a PGA professional in the Myrtle Beach area. Diaz worked at True Blue Golf Club, TPC Myrtle Beach and he was the lead assistant at Wachesaw Plantation Club, a private Tom Fazio design, just prior to joining the Project Golf team.
Perry O’Neal Dye, ASGCA, died July 8, 2021 in Denver. He was age 68. A member of one of the most famous families in golf, Dye received his first experience building golf courses at age 12, when he began an apprenticeship under his father, ASGCA Past President Pete Dye. Perry formed Dye Designs in 1984. The company is known for building unique, environmentally sensitive golf courses. In 1986, Dye Designs further expanded internationally as Perry recognized the growing demand and market for world-wide golf services. In Japan alone, Perry designed nearly two dozen golf courses, and Dye-designed facilities can be found in more than 15 countries. A member of the Golf Course Builders Association of America, in 2004 he received the inaugural award that bears his name – the Perry O. Dye Service Award – which honors “exceptional individuals who have unselfishly contributed their influence to foster positive changes for the association and have continually endeavored to make it better.”
Blue Tees Golf added Coleman Scott to the sales team. Prior to joining the Blue Tees Golf team, Scott was the Director of Sales at H2 Golf. In addition to working at H2 Golf, Scott worked at TrionZ, FOURTEEN GOLF and Sonartec.
Outlyr (formerly Eiger Marketing Group) named Jeremy Friedman as Director of Public Relations and Marketing. Friedman most recently oversaw day-to-day public relations initiatives for Golf Channel and NBC Sports.
