Recent industry hires and promotions include new General Managers at Cherry Hills Country Club in Denver, Colo., Grand Dunes Ocean Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Mo.; a new Head Golf Professional at The Hills of Lakeway Country Club in Austin, Texas; and Food and Beverage Directors at Champion Hills in Hendersonville, N.C. and The World Golf Village Resort in St. Augustine, Fla.

Cherry Hills Country Club in Denver, Colo. named Lance Sabella, CCM, ECM, as General Manager/COO. Sabella was most recently General Manager at Lakeside Golf Club in Burbank, Calif. He was a 2011 co-winner of The Mead Grady Award, in the category of Country/Golf Clubs with Fewer Than 600 Full-Privilege Members, for the Excellence in Club Management Awards.
Grand Dunes Ocean Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C. named Ross DePencier as Director of Operations/General Manager. DePencier was most recently General Manager of Belvedere Tennis Club in Tiburon, Calif.
Glen Eagle Golf & Country Club in Naples, Fla. named Chris Gant as General Manager.
Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Mo. named Carlos Arraya as General Manager. Arraya has been the club’s Director of Agronomy and most recently Assistant General Manager. Prior to joining Bellerive, Arraya was both Assistant Superintendent (1998-2002) and later General Manager (2005-2014) at Hawks Nest in Vero Beach, Fla. He succeeds Michael Chase, CCM, CCE, who has been named General Manager of Atlantic Beach (Fla.) Country Club.
Saratoga (Calif.) Country Club named Diana Moffett as General Manager. Moffett has spent more than 11 years at Saratoga CC, most recently serving as the Assistant General Manager. She takes over for Joe Callan, who announced his retirement after 44 years at the club.
Alta Mesa (Ariz.) Golf Club named Scott Mattiello, PGA as Head Golf Professional and General Manager. Mattiello was most recently Director of Golf at Encanterra Country Club at BlueStar Resort & Golf in Queen Creek, Ariz.
Peachtree Golf Club in Atlanta, Ga. named Kris Sparks as Clubhouse Manager. Prior to the promotion, Sparks was the Assistant Club Manager. He was previously Operations Manager at St. Ives Country Club in Johns Creek, Ga.
The Hills of Lakeway Country Club in Austin, Texas named Loren Forney, PGA as Head Golf Professional. Forney was most recently Director Of Golf Operations at Avery Ranch Golf Club, also in Austin.
Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania, Ohio named Eric R. Swary as Assistant Superintendent.
Kiawah Island (S.C.) Club named Mike O’Shaughnessy as Executive Chef, Doug Blair as Culinary Project Manager, and David Powell as Chef Tourant. O’Shaughnessy started at the club in 2008 as a sous chef at Voysey’s at Cassique. From there, he took on the position of chef de cuisine. Blair has provided service to the club for 21 years, overseeing large scale projects like the West End Beach Club kitchen and Tom’s renovation. He will also create a YouTube cooking channel showcasing new recipes, how-to videos, and more in Tom’s new test kitchen. He will also manage multiple guest chef experiences throughout the year, implement an offsite catering plan, and spearhead the creation of Club-wide banquet menus. Powell joined the team in 2019 as line cook at the River Room. As the new chef tourant, Powell will travel between all Club restaurants, learning each menu inside and out in order to lead the club’s teams and help out where needed.
The Polo Club of Boca Raton (Fla.) named Samantha Cavaciuti as Executive Chef. Cavaciuti was previously the club’s Executive Sous Chef.
Greenville (S.C.) Country Club named Jeff Moreno as Sous Chef. Prior to this role, Moreno served as Sous Chef at L’escale Restaurant in Greenwich, Conn.
Champion Hills in Hendersonville, N.C. named Stephan Stansfield as Food and Beverage Director. Stansfield was most recently at The Horseshoe Farm, a luxury boutique resort in Hendersonville. Prior to that he enjoyed tenures at Rezaz Mediterranean Cuisine in Asheville and Bluewater Waterfront Grill in Wrightsville Beach.
The World Golf Village Resort in St. Augustine, Fla. named Rick Waters as Director of Food & Beverage. Most recently, Waters served as Assistant General Manager at Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club in Jacksonville.
Glen Eagle Golf & Country Club in Naples, Fla. named Kari Davidson as Food & Beverage Director. Davidson was previously Catering & Sales Director at Hideaway Beach Club in Marco Island, Fla.
The Club at Rancharrah in Reno, Nev. named Nancy Kennedy as Controller. Kennedy was most recently Controller at Fiddlesticks Country Club in Fort Myers, Fla.
Lancaster (Pa.) Country Club named Meghan Stambaugh as Director of Membership and Communications. Stambaugh was most recently the Marketing Coordinator for Boyer & Ritter Certified Public Accountants and Consultants.
Pinehurst (N.C.) Resort named Karen DiCarlo as Director of Group Sales. DiCarlo has been an integral part of the Pinehurst guest experience since her arrival nearly 20 years ago. Prior to her promotion, she served as the resort’s Director of Event Services and Catering.
Brandon Wheelock, CEC, of Estero Country Club in the Village of Estero, Fla. passed his practical test to become a Certified Executive Chef.
The San Diego Business Journal named Donna Otis, CCM, CCE CEO / General Manager of The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe (Calif.) to its “Women of Influence: 50 Over 50” List.
The Florida Chapter of the Club Managers Association of America conducted a swearing in of the Association’s 2021/2022 Board of Directors on August 12. Michael Bradfield, CCM, CCE, CAM, General Manager/COO of Bay Colony Golf Club will serve as President; Kevin Bauer, CCM, CCE, Club Manager, Gulf Stream Golf Club as Vice President; and Carmen J. Mauceri, CCM, COO/General Manager, The Club at Mediterra, as Secretary/Treasurer. David Somers, CCM, CCE, CAM, General Manager of Heritage Oaks Golf & Country Club will serve as Immediate Past President.
