The Club Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization established by the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) in 1988, has announced the recipients of the 2016 Willmoore H. Kendall Scholarship. These managers will receive tuition support through the scholarships towards pursuit of their Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation:
- Eric Bischofberger, Colleton River Plantation, Bluffton, S.C.
- TJ Diagne, Woodway Country Club, Darien, Conn.
- James Reisig, Union Club of New York, New York, N.Y.
- Robert Tibbetts, Kansas City Country Club, Mission Hills, Kan.
The Club Foundation established the Kendall scholarships in memory of CMAA Past President Bill Kendall. The grants are supported in part by contributions made by Jonas Software, a CMAA Gold Alliance Partner.
Recipients of the scholarships receive the tuition costs associated with CMAA’s Business Management Institutes (BMI) including BMI Club Management, BMI Leadership Principles, BMI General Manager/Chief Operating Officer, BMI Food and Beverage or BMI Golf Management (if required for certification eligibility), and the Certification Review Course and other fees associated with pursuit of the CCM designation.
“The Club Foundation congratulates these individuals for their continued commitment and dedication to professional development and the club management industry,” says Seth Gregg, COO, The Club Foundation. “The Club Foundation provides these scholarships through the continued generosity and support of CMAA members, chapters and Corporate Alliance Program partners who provide the resources necessary to maintain these scholarships.”
