The Aerie restaurant which can loosely be translated into 'eagle nest', is the perfect compliment to our nationally ranked Tom Doak golf course. It is perched on the side of the mountain approximately 1,000 feet above the desert floor. With unobstructed views of the golf course to the west and the valley to the north, its location is just the start of what makes it so special. As a private restaurant, only our small membership and their invited guests have access to dine. Due to its remote location, The Aerie doesn't just offer a great meal, it delivers a memorable experience. Members and guests are shuttled to the restaurant in custom Jeeps that where designed and built specifically for Stone Eagle. After a scenic four minute ride up the mountain, they arrive at one of the most breathtaking locations one can find.
Once greeted and shown to their table, the friendly and professional service staff see to their every need. Chris Aguilar, Food & Beverage Manager and Certified Sommelier is always available to assist with the perfect beverage or wine pairing from the broad range of current releases on the menu to select library wines from the cellar.
Executive Chef Jon Tice's seasonal menus always offer a balanced selection of current fresh dishes that are prepared to perfection by his culinary team. From prime cuts to locally sourced produce, and every from pasta to sauces made in house, members and guests can expect the finest quality throughout all the menus. Dinner is offered Wednesday through Saturday each week with two themed menus providing a little variety to the membership. Wednesday and Thursday evenings feature Italian cuisine with suggested imported Italian wine pairings. Friday and Saturday offer a more traditional a la carte menu with slightly less than traditional offerings. Rarely will you find prime rib at The Aerie!
The Aerie at Stone Eagle has established itself as one of the finest restaurants throughout the entire Coachella Valley and beyond. It is for this reason that 6 of our 225 members, who are not golfers, still pay full golf membership dues just so they can have access to the restaurant. Since the day it reopened after an extensive remodel in 2016, membership has remained sold out and as of today, the Club boasts a waiting list approximately three years deep. For these reasons and much more, we believe The Aerie at Stone Eagle is worthy of being recognized as delivering a Top Ranked culinary experience.
