He and his team continually manage to wow Hampton Hall membership with Low-Country and out of the box cuisine. The culinary experience at Hampton Hall Club is ever evolving.
The menu changes on a consistent basis with additional features each evening ranging from comfort food to fine dining. McElroy sources all local markets and purveyors for as much local fare as possible. Additionally, the culinary team has cultivated their own chef’s garden in back of the kitchen where all herbs and micro greens are grown and completely sustain the needs of the menus.
The most important quality of an executive chef is leadership. McElroy has led the culinary team to new heights with the extraordinary leadership he provides. During the last year with the onset of the pandemic, McElroy and the culinary team created new ways to service the membership through themed to-go menus, in-home delivery service, virtual cooking experiences, virtual wine dinners, meals in a box cooking lessons and the publishing of chef recipes to keep residents engaged with the dining experience at the club.
Hampton Hall Club’s culinary team provided meals for its concert series which received a "top innovator" recognition and fed over 250 residents at a time socially distanced in the form of preplanned box meals in the parking lot. T
he culinary experience at Hampton Hall continues to grow and evolve with the completed renovation of the community clubhouse which took place during the pandemic.
