The Culinary Program played a vital role in the recognition of Governors Club as a Distinguished Club and Platinum Club of America. Governors Club’s Food & Beverage Program was recognized locally in 2020 by Chapel Hill Magazine & Chatham Magazine, receiving “Best Of” awards in the following categories: Best Overall Service, Best Overall Restaurant, Best Catering and Best Chef. In a year where club life looked very different, these awards carried more weight than ever because they were based on the votes of the community.
Chef Ben Guaman and his team not only create incredible experiences for the Governors Club membership but for each other as well. The average tenure for our culinary team is 9 years, with several employees serving the membership for more than 20 years.
