The secret to their success is found in the genuine friendliness and camaraderie of the members and the impeccable service delivered by the exceptional staff, eager to exceed expectations and uphold the mission that everything matters.
Unique among Quail Ridge’s many distinctions is its history. Unlike many clubs, Quail Ridge celebrates those who have played out on the greens and in its clubhouse. The names that have walked these grounds are a who’s who of golf. It is not surprising or an exaggeration to say that this club, and its members, play a large role in shaping the face of modern golf.
In 2015, after exploring solutions on adjacent property, the membership voted to raze the existing one-story clubhouse and replace it with a new one-story facility designed by Peacock + Lewis Architects and Interior Designers. The design challenge at this very golf-serious club, was deriving the proper balance of familiar surroundings for the senior members with amenities to encourage utilization by new members and families.
Distinctive design features incorporated into this new facility unify the multiple generations of members including a unique history and memorabilia gallery leading to the locker rooms and golf shop which commemorate the many professional and amateur golfers who are members of this club and have made significant contributions to the game of golf.
The locker rooms were designed, finished, and furnished to be distinctive as ‘the man cave’ for men and the bright, uplifting lounge for women. The traditional golf shop was reinterpreted into a club boutique featuring as much non-golf apparel and accessories as the traditional golf offerings.
The casual dining venues were arranged to engage activities on the putting green and overlook the existing short-game practice area. A built-in cushioned banquette was designed around the perimeter of the uncovered terrace with fire tables for ambiance on the terrace and adjacent to putting green with long views to illuminated landscaping and water features.
An outdoor covered bar and cantilevered awning-covered seating area serves as the turn and after golf gathering area for many golf groups at the club.
The Grille Room was designed to fold open and expand onto a covered patio with panoramic views of the golf course. Ambiance in the adjacent seating next to the bar was created with temperature-controlled wine display with coordinating artwork and fabrics on the furnishings. Wine display was also designed into the wall at the maître d' stand for visual interest while waiting to be seated.
It can truly be said that residents and members enjoy an enviable lifestyle of casual elegance and luxury.
