Inglewood Golf Club is a rare gem among Pacific Northwest Golf Clubs. It combines a spectacular setting, illustrious heritage, and a championship golf course to create the ultimate golfing experience. Our Clubhouse at Inglewood Golf Club should be top ranked for many reasons. Our clubhouse was built in 1926 after the original clubhouse built in 1919 burned down.

This club and clubhouse are laden with history, so much so that it’s considered a historical landmark by many. So many talented golfers passed through these doors, and many thousands of members have too. No two sources could agree on the nature of the architecture. Descriptions of the clubhouse style ranged from Southern Colonial to French Provincial to simply basic Spanish style.

Regardless of its architectural bent, Inglewood has a classic look and a regal presence. People drive through a funnel of trees to come face to face with a majestic 93-year-old clubhouse, which weaves its original Roaring 20’s theme with all the amenities of a 21st-century golf house.

With a newly remodeled women’s locker room, kitchen, and dining room, the Inglewood clubhouse is sure to impress even the most traveled golfer. The Inglewood clubhouse is scheduled to see more changes coming its way, thanks to the passionate membership committees who always are pushing to keep the beauty of the 1926 clubhouse and golf course, all while having state-of-the-art amenities within. The clubhouse is operated by a kind and caring staff who are dedicated to member satisfaction and the goal of delivering memorable experiences for everyone.

We don’t consider Inglewood to be “top ranked,” we consider Inglewood and its clubhouse to be “world class.” The graceful, timeless, elegance of the Clubhouse sets a high bar that most other Clubs cannot reach. We instill that ideology into everything we do here, making sure “world-class” resonates in every experience by all members, leading them to think nothing but the highest honors towards Inglewood Golf Club and our clubhouse.

Club House History

The original clubhouse was built in 1919. Then, it went down in flames in 1925 due to faulty electricity lines. The membership decided to build it back up, even greater than it was before, setting the standard for clubhouses across the Northwest. September 10th, 1926, was the grand opening of the new clubhouse. 1963 The membership decided to remodel the clubhouse and build a new driving range, after installing a new $40,000 World’s Fair-style Pro Shop 2 years prior. The remodel included a Ballroom extension into the Veranda, remodel of the rotunda, plus a new bar and dining area, in what is now the Ladies locker room. Inglewood has aged gracefully. People drive through a funnel of trees to come face to face with a majestic 95-year-old clubhouse, which weaves its original Roaring 20’s theme with all the amenities of a 21st-century golf house. Over the past quarter-century, five major improvements have kept the club fashionable and enjoyable: 1) in 1992, Inglewood passed its first large assessment to remodel and upgrade the clubhouse, and the price tag was large enough and caused enough controversy that the men’s locker room was taken out of the proposal. 2) In 2005, the club finally remodeled the 1926 vintage men’s locker room (rated in the top 20 this year by this publication) and added a lounge area in what had been the original Pro Shop. 3) in 2006, the 1962 World’s Fair-style Pro Shop was demolished and the present Pro Shop with the renovated rotunda circle was completed. 4) in 2018, the club upgraded the women’s locker room and the dining room, giving it a panoramic view of the finishing hole wrapped around its always-gurgling fountain and shimmering pond. And, most recently, 5) The clubhouse kitchen and the Golf Course underwent massive remodeling projects, to expand and catch up with modern times. Looking forward, we are finishing installing a new HVAC system and replacing the terracotta roof tiles, which currently are the original tiles laid down in 1926.
