Chef Works announces the release of Dress the Chef©, a virtual, online dressing room to revolutionize the culinary and hospitality uniform business.
Dress the Chef is designed to give the customer instant gratification when it comes to seeing their uniform vision come to life. Chef Works Dress the Chef features includes a quick search by item or categories allowing you to find any jacket, pant, apron, or headwear you want. You can locate apparel by color, item code, or style. Simply drag-and-drop the clothing onto a variety of mannequin choices and see what your “Front of the House” and “Back of the House” look like together.
Further, you can take a picture of your kitchen, restaurant, hotel, or wherever you are and place your dressed mannequins into their working environment. As a culinary and hospitality manager, you can instantly see what your new look will do for your property and take the guess work out of the uniform selection process. You can save your pre-designed ensembles and share them via email or text with a detailed JPEG or PDF.
The application was developed to be used on an iPad originally, but had some unexpected fringe benefits as it is also compatible with the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Safari (Recommended Browser), and Chrome. Chef Works originally launched its beta version about a month ago to select domestic and international partners.
Dress the Chef was the brainchild of Dave Roth, COO. This project has been in the making for a year and continues to develop as Chef Works adds new features, functionality, and products to its ever expanding uniform collection. “The application has proven to be extremely successful in that it has greatly reduced the decision making timeline for both the customer and our business model,” Roth said. “In the past, the visualization process was lengthy and required multiple illustration renderings and revisions to achieve what the customer was looking for. Chef Works Dress the Chef application puts the power directly into the customers’ hands and gives them an immediate look which builds confidence in their decision and reinforces Chef Works.”
