The grand opening on November 21 marked the final phase of the Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. club’s $40 million enhancement project. The new facilities include the two-story Esplanade Spa and Fitness Center with a health-conscious café, Revive; separate lap-swimming, children’s and fitness pools; and a dedicated building for tennis operations that includes a covered viewing patio for viewing exhibitions and competitive matches.
The Country Club at Mirasol, in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., opened the doors to four brand-new facilities on Monday, November 21. The grand opening of the new Esplanade Spa and Fitness Center, Tennis Center, and Aquatics Complex marked the final phase of Mirasol’s $40 million facility enhancement project, as well as the completion of the largest milestone of its five-year strategic plan.
C&RB reported on Mirasol’s unveiling of its new grand clubhouse earlier this year (http://clubandresortbusiness.com/2016/04/25/cc-mirasol-unveils-new-grand-clubhouse/). That project included the addition of Solstice, an 80-seat fine dining restaurant, the Upstairs Bar & Lounge, a larger ballroom, and first- and second-story dining patios overlooking the golf facilities.
The completion of the clubhouse project followed the renovation and enhancement of Mirasol’s golf practice facilities, a project that was completed in October 2015.
“We were thrilled to open our new Fitness Center, Spa and Salon, tennis building, and upgraded aquatics area in time for our members to enjoy for the holidays with their families and guests,” said Mirasol’s Club & Association President, Tobi D’Andrea. “ Our active and young membership could not be more excited to take advantage of these world-class amenities.”
The Esplanade is a state-of-the-art, two-story fitness center with dedicated Pilates, Spin, and group instruction studios, a tranquil and luxurious spa, and a health-conscious café, Revive, which features fresh-pressed juices, smoothies, salads, and more. Other enhancements include the addition of separate lap swimming, children’s, and fitness pools, and a dedicated building for tennis operations, complete with a covered viewing patio from which competitive matches can be viewed.
“We have enjoyed hosting elite tennis events presented by the International Tennis Foundation and the United States Tennis Association at Mirasol, and our new facility is even more suitable for that level of tournament play,” explained Director of Sports Jeremy Barker. “One of our first major member events of the season includes an exhibition with former professionals Jimmy Arias, Aaron Krickstein, and Mikael Pernfors, and we look forward to presenting this exciting member event in our brand-new Tennis Center.”
Added Mirasol’s General Manager/COO, Matt Lambert: “Our original club facilities were built to sell homes, and were no longer large enough to accommodate our membership or sufficient enough to provide the level of service that they have come to expect. Mirasol’s vibrant, active membership is the envy of many south Florida country club communities, and our new design and amenities include features designed to attract and retain this edge.”
