Projects for the only private club in Grand Junction, Colo., which is managed by Troon Privé, include a new clubhouse entryway, an expanded event lawn and pool area, a new fleet of golf cars and a new beverage cart, new course maintenance equipment including a new spray rig and lift, a pump station to improve irrigation efficiency, and an upgrade of a tennis court, with two new pickleball courts. “It’s an exciting time,” said General Manager Paul Nolan. “The club is fiscally healthy, membership is growing and we’re expecting a great season.”
Numerous capital improvements are underway or have already been completed at Bookcliff Country Club in Grand Junction, Colo. The Troon Privé-managed club also reports that it is seeing an influx of new member inquiries as golf season in the mountain community has arrived and new member incentives are having an impact.
Specific capital projects for the club in 2020 include:
- A new clubhouse entryway and interior flooring
- An expanded event lawn and pool area
- New fencing fronting the club’s tennis courts
- Fresh landscaping and vegetation around the clubhouse
- A new fleet of golf cars
- A new beverage cart to service the golf course
- New golf course maintenance equipment, including a new spray rig and lift
- A state-of-the-art pump station to improve irrigation efficiency
- Upgrading a tennis court, with two new pickleball courts included
The club’s new-member offer with deferred dues until June 1st and a current member-referral incentive have attracted many new members, the club reports.
“It’s an exciting time at Bookcliff Country Club,” said General Manager Paul Nolen. “The club is fiscally healthy, we’re making a number of fantastic improvements around the club, and membership is growing. As the weather warms here in Western Colorado, we’re expecting a great season.”
In addition to the capital improvements taking place around the club, Bookcliff recently welcomed Justin Mills as the club’ new head golf professional, as well as new assistant golf professionals.
