The merger brings together the designer and manufacturer of sporting goods, clothing, supplements and accessories for the sports, nutrition and golf markets, with brands that include Cambridge 360™ and Gimme™ nutritional products, and Viratech, a social-knowledge networking technology company. The combined entity will operate under Cambridge Golf as a public company, and a new website will soon be launched to provide a more interactive user experience.
Cambridge Golf announced it has merged with Viratech Corp, with Cambridge Golf remaining as the operating company.
Cambridge Golf, based in Suwannee, Ga., is a publicly traded holding company that designs and manufactures innovative sporting goods, clothing, supplements and accessories for the sports, nutrition and golf markets. Its current brands include Cambridge 360™ and Gimme™ nutritional products.

The acquisition is the latest step for Cambridge Golf as it targets the multi-billion-dollar U.S. market for golf, nutrition and lifestyle products. Specifically, the company says it is targeting the U.S. golf market, positioning itself through a strategic and targeted line of products tailored for the golf and sports enthusiast.
“Cambridge Golf is a platform to accelerate innovation for the golfing market, and we are just getting started,” stated Craig Forney, CEO of Cambridge Golf. “We are pleased to now be part of a public company, to bring additional innovation, growth and technologically advanced products to market.”
Forney, a PGA golf professional, has been appointed CEO of the combined company, effective immediately. Post-merger, the company will exclusively focus on Cambridge Golf products.
As part of the announcement, Cambridge Golf also said that it will be announcing the launch of a newly revamped website to create a richer and more interactive user experience. Once live, the new website will be updated on a regular basis with news of product launches, business activity, corporate milestones, acquisitions, events, and investor and financial information.
