The recent transformation of the dining spaces and bar also includes an outdoor game area at McDowell Mountain Golf Club’s Rossa Kitchen and Patio in Scottsdale, Ariz. “A dining experience is more than just the food – it’s the staff, the drinks, the service, and the ambiance,” says Executive Chef Randy Bennett. “These pieces should come together to help you feel welcome and to provide an amazing experience.”
The newest dining destination in the Valley of the Sun is located at an already popular venue—McDowell Mountain Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. Rossa Kitchen and Patio is the club’s hip, new neighborhood restaurant, and it’s quickly gaining a reputation for great pizzas, an expansive menu, and a selection of exceptional cocktails.
Food and drink offerings get even better paired with the equally enticing vibe, indoor/outdoor dining, a large see-through fireplace, and sweeping views of Camelback Mountain. Guests can also enjoy the bustling show of the bar and new, open-air, wood-fired Neapolitan red pizza oven all the while savoring the aromas of fresh-baked Italian specialties, their dough perfected through a proprietary fermenting process.
The restaurant’s contemporary approach to American and Italian cooking reimagines time-honored classics such as homemade pizzas, with unusual, signature creations such as Tito Cracked Pepper (vodka sauce, cracked pepper, mozzarella, parmigiana, Reggiano and prosciutto) or the Ooey Gooey (mac & cheese, mozzarella, smoked bacon and caramelized onion). Other menu items include tossed salads, crafted handhelds like burrata & coppa, shareables, balanced bites, main courses, and desserts. The full menu is also available for “to go” orders.
Rossa’s beverage selections are built around crafty cocktails, Italian and American spirits, wine, and aperitifs. Among the signature recipes are the Prosciutto-Washed Old Fashioned; The Dutton (Yellowstone Bourbon, lemonade, passion fruit and club soda); and the Limoncello Collins.
Food and atmosphere are complemented by elevated levels of service from a knowledgeable, high-energy staff. The recent transformation of the dining spaces and bar also includes an outdoor game area, where cornhole and other games are frequently in play.
McDowell Mountain Golf Club hosts ongoing public events that include entertainment, food and beverages, and the gathering of community—from wine dinners and mixology classes, themed food nights, club fittings, and ladies nine and wine to name a few.
Located in the shadows of the McDowell Mountains and set in the heart of the native Sonoran Desert, McDowell Mountain Golf Club is a premier public golf course in Scottsdale, Ariz. The course stretches to 7,118 yards and delivers a visually stunning and challenging experience.
Owned by Arcis Golf, the second largest owner and operator of private, resort and daily fee facilities in the United States, McDowell Mountain Golf Club is one of the company’s 13 properties in the greater Phoenix area, including three private and 10 daily fee clubs. “Our club portfolio footprint in the greater Phoenix area is inclusive and accessible to all types and levels of golfers,” said Blake Walker, Founder and CEO, Arcis Golf. “Beyond the golf courses, though, we are cultivating a community of people who enjoy coming together to share a meal or beverage with friends, family, and business associates. McDowell Mountain delivers on all fronts.”
McDowell Mountain Golf Club is also now home to Silver Spoon, a classic Airstream trailer serving grab-and-go food and beverages and located at the turn for golfers to enjoy. Silver Spoon will also be utilized for club events and special programming, such as whiskey tastings, arts and entertainment, and golf clinics, as well as signature events exclusive to Arcis Players’ Prime members.
The club’s new Executive Chef, Randy Bennett, is a big believer in creating an environment that brings the community together at McDowell Mountain.
“A dining experience is more than just the food – it’s the staff, the drinks, the service, and the ambiance,” Bennett said. “These pieces should come together to help you feel welcome and to provide an amazing experience.”
