The 27-hole golf course in Grant, Mich., closed last year after 23 years in operation. Though the real estate was sold recently, items such as a Kubota L3600 Diesel 4×4 Tractor, John Deere Gator and various lawnmowers and golf cars will be auctioned to the highest bidder through Repocast.com.
What remains of Brigadoon Golf Club in Grant, Mich., will be part of an online auction hosted by Repocast.com on Thursday, July 18, the Detroit News reported.
Brigadoon was a 200-acre, 27-hole golf course that closed last year after 23 years in operation. The real estate was sold recently and just the equipment, including a Kubota L3600 Diesel 4×4 Tractor, that will be auctioned off, the News reported.
Duane Mingerink, president of Repocast.com, said it’s not unusual for his company to auction off golf course equipment, the News reported.
“I’ve dealt with golf courses many times,” Mingerink said. “Usually they have more equipment than what we’ve received (from Brigadoon), and there’s no way we would have held an auction with just that.”
But with approximately 180,000 registered online bidders, Mingerink said the items should go quickly. On Wednesday, potential customers will have an opportunity to inspect each item up close before making their bids, the News reported.
“We’ll have 400, maybe 500 bidders on Wednesday,” Mingerink said. “Then they’ll make their offer (on Thursday).”
In addition to the diesel tractor, other equipment from the course includes a John Deere Gator and various lawnmowers and golf cars, the News reported.
