In the TV show-like competition held at Skidmore College, the four-person team from the Larchmont, N.Y. club, led by Executive Chef Matt O’Connor, earned the overall high score versus staffs from university and institutional chefs from across the Northeast U.S.
Executive Chef Matt O’Connor and his team from Bonnie Brian Country Club in Larchmont, N.Y., took home a gold medal and overall high score at the American Culinary Federation Market Basket Competition hosted by Skidmore College in January.
Nine teams representing university and institutional chefs from across the Northeast U.S. participated in a TV show-like competition, which put four-person teams on the clock to prepare a four-course menu from the same ingredients. The Bonnie Briar team improved upon their silver medal-performance in 2019.
