Makes 4 servings
1 (7.1 oz.) pouch chunk light tuna
1/4 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 tbsp. lite garlic mayonnaise
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. fresh squeezed lemon juice
2 tsp. fresh chopped parsley
1⁄8 tsp. garlic salt
as needed vegetable oil
4 hamburger buns favorite hamburger toppings:
lettuce, tomato, pickles, etc.
• In a medium bowl, combine tuna, breadcrumbs, onion, mayonnaise, and egg; blend well.
• Form mixture in patties (mixture will be sticky) and place on wax or parchment paper; refrigerate until ready to use.
• Cook patties on a lightly oiled griddle or pan until golden brown and heated through, carefully turning once.
• Place 1 lettuce leaf and 1 tomato slice on bottom half of bun. Top with tuna burger, 2 bacon slices, and remaining bun half. Serve immediately.
