Through “Get Golf Ready,” BCG targets adults who have never played golf, have minimal previous connection to the game or need rejuvenation after a hiatus.
Billy Casper Golf (BCG) has rolled out its “Get Golf Ready” program at more than 50 courses nationwide to generate nearly 4,000 new golfers in 2011.
Through “Get Golf Ready,” BCG targets adults who have never played golf, have minimal previous connection to the game or need rejuvenation after a hiatus. A series of five, 90-minute lessons are conducted in comfortable, low-pressure and zero-intimidation settings. Golfers then transition with confidence to playing opportunities with PGA and LPGA professionals as on-course mentors.
Small-group instruction consists of golf history, etiquette, rules, reserving tee times, fitness, scorekeeping, short game, iron play, using a driver and fairway woods, and golf course elements (tee boxes, rough, fairway, green, bunker, hazard, out-of-bounds).
Enrollment is $99 per golfer. BCG also offers an Instant Golfer Package ($249) that includes a set of Top Flite XL Series Golf Clubs, a $100 golf shop gift card, shoes, balls, tees, gloves, driving range pass and five buy-one-get-one-free twilight passes.
