Rob August is the new President and Tom Hotard the new Executive Vice President for the manufacturer of commercial refrigeration products.
Beverage-Air, a leading manufacturer of commercial refrigeration products for the foodservice industry for over 65 years, has announced the appointments of Rob August as President and Tom Hotard as Executive Vice President, effective September 1.
August will succeed Filippo Berti as he transitions to the position of Chairman of Beverage-Air. Mr. Berti will continue in his role as President of Ali North America, a unit of the Ali Group, the parent company of Beverage-Air that is based in Milan, Italy.
In his new role as President, August will be responsible for the daily operations of Beverage-Air. August formerly held the position of Executive Vice President of Beverage-Air. He joined the Ali Group in January 2007 as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Champion Industries. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Blodgett and Southbend within the Middleby Corporation. In addition, he has
held senior sales management positions with other companies in the foodservice equipment industry, such as the Garland Group, a division of Welbilt Corporation/Enodis, and Globe Food Equipment.
Hotard, who previously held the position of Vice President of Operations and Development, has extensive experience in the commercial foodservice equipment industry in product development and organizational development. Earlier in his career, Hotard has been past President of Merrychef USA, a division of the Enodis Corporation, and Southbend, A Middleby Company.
In addition to assisting with other aspects of the company as required, Hotard will continue to be responsible for the management of Beverage-Air’s Brookville, Pa. manufacturing facility, and of its Engineering Department.
Berti, August and Hotard will all work from Beverage-Air’s new corporate headquarters in Winston-Salem, N.C., where the company relocated in June from Spartanburg, S.C.
