Bayside Resort GC Breaks Ground on New Clubhouse

By Joe Barks | May 28, 2019

The semi-private club in Selbyville, Del. is building a new 23,000-sq. ft facility, with completion expected in 2020, to replace its current 7,500-sq. ft. building. The new space will feature a new golf shop, Signatures restaurant and bar, a golf simulator, event and banquet spaces, and more.

Bayside Resort Golf Club, a semi-private club in Selbyville, Del. managed by Troon, recently broke ground on a new 23,000-sq. ft. clubhouse. Construction will begin immediately, with completion expected in 2020.

The new, larger building will replace the club’s current 7,500 sq.-ft. clubhouse and feature a new golf shop, Signatures restaurant and bar, a golf simulator, event and banquet spaces, and more.

“It’s an exciting time at Bayside Resort Golf Club,” said Sean Gradomski, PGA, the club’s General Manager. “The new clubhouse will be amazing and provide members and guests with additional amenities, dining options and event space.”

Bayside Resort GC opened for play in 2005 and features Delaware’s only Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, which was recognized by Golfweek Magazine as the “Best Course You Can Play” in Delaware in 2018, for how it meanders along the Assawoman Bay coastline and winds through magnificent pine forests.

The waterfront resort club also features luxurious pools, a splash zone, a tennis and fitness complex, a pier and beach, kayaking and other year-round activities, the Bayside Institute’s “Life Enrichment” classes, The Cove Bar & Grille and more.

Situated in Fenwick Island, just four miles from the beach, Bayside comprises nearly one thousand acres overlooking the Assawoman Bay. The Bayside Resort community was recently recognized by the National Homebuilders Association as the National Community of the Year.

Bayside Resort Golf Club is owned by Carl M. Freeman Golf, a division of Carl M. Freeman Companies.
